Tim Williams

October marks the celebration of a special group of leaders in our community … our school principals. These dedicated individuals play a pivotal role in shaping our students’ futures and the trajectory of our education system.

This month-long celebration is an opportunity to recognize and thank our principals for their unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and remarkable impact on student success.

We recognize Tim Williams, Woodlands Elementary Principal

  1. How long have you been a principal? This is my 9th year as a principal, all at Woodlands.
  1. What motivates you? Well, chocolate chip cookies motivate me! But seriously, the desire to help our students learn and grow in a safe, fun, positive, high quality environment is what drives to do my best for our students, families, and staff every day.
  2. What is your favorite book? I love to read! I will finish a 3-year Bible reading plan at the end of the year.  Even though I am behind this year, my goal is to read 2 books a month. I am in the Next Big Idea Club with two books a quarter related to current thought and trends. The book I have recommended to more people than any other is Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking, by Susan Cain. The book is 10 years old now, but I recommend it to all my introvert friends. My favorite fiction author is John Grisham.
  3. What is your favorite thing about being a principal? I love seeing our students grow academically and socially. I love the times when I get to interact with students in the lunch line, at recess, and before and after school. I also love working with a great team of professionals at Woodlands and across the district.
