Stacey Sattre

October marks the celebration of a special group of leaders in our community … our school principals. These dedicated individuals play a pivotal role in shaping our students’ futures and the trajectory of our education system.

This month-long celebration is an opportunity to recognize and thank our principals for their unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and remarkable impact on student success.

Thank you Stacey Sattre, West Middle School Principal!!

1.       How long have you been a principal? I have been a principal for 7 years. I have been the Lead Principal at West for 5 years.

2.       What motivates you? My middle school students are my motivator. I love this age group and being able to interact with them on a daily basis. There is never a dull moment when working with middle school kids.

3.       What is your favorite book? When my daughter was a young child, one of my favorite books to read to her was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. Such a wonderful book for young readers.

4.       What is your favorite thing about being a principal? I love being a middle school principal because my 6th and 7th graders make me smile every single day! I love walking the halls with them, seeing them at lunch in the cafeteria, spending time with them at recess and watching them learn in their classrooms. I feel privileged that I get to be a part of their middle school journey through life. Middle school is a time when children are trying to figure themselves out and find their way. Every child needs someone in their corner, even if they don't know it. When I have helped one of my middle schoolers overcome a difficult situation, I feel accomplished. It makes me remember why I chose education and to become a middle school principal.
