Students Create Ornaments for Marland’s Grand Home
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and many students in the PCPS district have been working like elves in Santa’s workshop to create ornaments that will adorn a tree to be displayed at Marland’s Grand Home, 1000 East Grand Avenue. Marland’s Grand Home is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is also open on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Guided tours are each Monday through Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Art students from West Middle School and Roosevelt Elementary created ornaments in their art classes to decorate the tree. Additionally, Pre-K through fifth grade students who attend the district’s after school child care program, Cat Care, also created ornaments for this very special tree display.
The school district appreciates stakeholders within the community who reached out to us to provide students with different experiences. We are always excited to see their work throughout the community.
This community project allowed students to be creative, to experience pride in something they created, and to spread some Christmas cheer. Our hope is that everyone who visits Marland’s Grand Home this Christmas will enjoy this special tree made with love!
