The annual Circle the State with Song Festival was hosted at the PCPS Concert Hall On Friday, Jan. 26. A total of 155 students from 12 schools in the region attended. Chad Keilman, PCPS choir director and Circle the State coordinator, said, “This is a wonderful opportunity for students in 4th-8th grade to experience making music in a large ensemble! The songs are selected to be fun as well as educational including multiple languages and styles.”
Po-Hi faculty and students were also involved as soloists for the performance. Orchestra director Katie Rolf played violin. Juniors Sawyer Scantlin and Jackson Sheets played drums and bass. Senior Kayleona Brown played oboe.
