BPA Students Attend State Leadership Conference
Ponca City High School's Business Professionals of America (BPA) attended the Oklahoma BPA State Leadership Conference on March 4 - 6th in Tulsa.
Students had the opportunity to compete in various solo and team events. These events range anywhere from business and marketing concepts to producing a podcast and creating an animation. Those who qualified and competed at state were Marshall Blackstar, Josie Brown, Julian Estrada,
Angel Garcia, Riley Ladner, Rachel Lawson, Robert Leonard, Andi Massey, Sophia McManhon, Bella Morrison, and Lorin Scott. Also attending was Abigale Lowrey.
Congratulations to all the students representing our chapter at State this year. Placing within the top 10 of Oklahoma BPA in their event would be Marshall Blackstar, Robert Leonard, Bella Morrison, and Lorin Scott with Broadcast News Production Team, Rachel Lawson with Presentation Individual, Julian Estrada with Extemporaneous Speech, Lorin Scott with Meeting and Event Planning Concepts, Julian Estrada, Angel Garcia, and Riley Ladner with Podcast Production Team, Robert Leonard with Computer Security, and Sophia McMahon with Banking and Finance.
Competing in these events is a great opportunity for students to gain knowledge and experience in their field of interest. It gives them useful skills for the real world. The mission of BPA is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and change the world by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth, and service.
