The Cat in the Hat is back at it. He is on a mission to take an around the world field trip to all the oceans. Mon. March 3- The first stop is the ATLANTIC OCEAN, the 2nd biggest ocean. It is the saltiest and has the largest number of nesting sea turtles. Let’s create an “Ocean of Words” by wearing a shirt with lots of words. Tues. March 4- The next stop is the INDIAN OCEAN, the warmest ocean which has lots of oil deposits. Look out! Pirates have been spotted there. Channel your inner Wildcat pirate and wear red or blue. Wed. March 5- It’s on to the PACIFIC OCEAN, the largest and deepest ocean. Pacific means “peaceful”. Chill out with Cat in the Hat, and wear appropriate beach wear with sunglasses. Thur. March 6- Watch out for penguins at the next stop. The SOUTHERN OCEAN is the newest ocean, and totally encircles Antarctica. Gigantic icebergs can be found there. Blend in with the world’s largest penguin species by wearing black and white. Fri. March 7-The last stop is the ARCTIC OCEAN. This ocean is the smallest and shallowest. It is the least explored due to the ice cover and extreme low temperatures. Stay cozy with a warm sweatshirt or hoodie. |
