Liberty Elementary was excited to celebrate students with 95% or better attendance for the 2nd Quarter today! Students were able to enjoy a bus ride over to NewPoint Church to watch a short movie and enjoy tasty popcorn! Thank you NewPoint Church for allowing us to use your building and donating popcorn to celebrate our students. We are very proud of all our families for helping their students meet this goal!
We are now looking forward to our 3rd Quarter Attendance Celebration!









School will be dismissed Monday, Jan. 15 for a Professional Development Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday.

The Po-Hi Student Council would like to invite you to drive by the front lawn of the high school on Overbrook Avenue TONIGHT from 6 to 8 p.m. to enjoy the beautiful Christmas Luminaries. The Student Council has been decorating the front lawn of the high school for the Christmas season since 1967.


Thank you Cherokee Strip Credit Union for surprising staff at Liberty Elementary with coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and gift cards! Everyone was so surprised and so thankful for their kindness and generosity to everyone! We are so appreciative for our PIE Partners and all they do for us!




The 5th Grade Christmas Program was this past Thursday. Everyone enjoyed splendid songs and marvelous music from singing to instruments. Below are some pictures from the program.







Ponca City Public School students will be out of school Dec. 18 through Jan. 2, 2024 for Winter Break. Classes resume on Wednesday, Jan. 3.


The Holiday Orchestra Concert will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7 PM at the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall. The concert is free!
Santa will be in the lobby from 6 to 6:45 PM to take pictures.
This concert will include all elementary, middle, and Philharmonic String orchestra students.


Basketball Games Tonight!!


The Ponca City Wildcats will travel to Muskogee today for the quarterfinals of the state football playoffs. Let's show our support for the Wildcats and cheer them on when the football bus passes!!

Liberty Bingo Night!
There were lots of bright smiles on faces from all last night. Thank you to all families that came as well as community members that helped support us for our annual Bingo Night Fundraiser! We want to give a special shout-out to Cherokee Strip Credit Union, First Baptist Church, and OnCue for their donations to our Bingo Night!

Liberty Elementary held our Veteran's Day assembly today to remember why we celebrate Veteran's Day and to honor all of our community's veterans. All grade levels helped with our assembly. There was singing, dancing, speaking, and special videos. We want to thank our guest Veteran Justin Trenary, who served in the Army, for speaking with our students and community.










November is Native American Heritage Month! Here is a copy of the mini powwows scheduled for PCPS students.


Liberty Kindergarten classes went to Rustic Roots Pumpkin Patch. The students had a fun time getting their own pumpkins, seeing the farm animals, climbing in the hay fort, riding in the barrel train, and doing many other activities.



Congratulations to our winners from the Red Ribbon Week Coloring Contest! A winner was chosen from each class. Below are some of our winners with their paper and their sweet treat for winning the contest in their class.


Today was the last day of Red Ribbon Week. Students at Liberty wore red to remember to "Be Kind to Your Mind, Live Drug Free." During the week, students also had a counseling lesson about why we celebrate Red Ribbon week. We thank everyone who participated in Red Ribbon Week.











It is "No Sweat Being Drug Free" at Liberty Elementary. Today, everyone was able to wear sweatpants, sweatshirt, or both.
Tomorrow is "Be Kind to Your Mind, Live Drug Free". Everyone can wear the color red.
