Testing season is almost upon us! All Po-Hi Juniors—including those on the main campus, at Wildcat Academy, in Virtual learning, and at Share—will take three state-mandated tests in April. These three tests are required for graduation. Juniors will take the ACT on April 10. They will take the US History exam and the Science Content exam on April 17. Students will be able to use this FREE ACT score for college admission (that's a savings of $85!).
Both April 10 and April 17 will be distance learning days for Freshmen, Sophomores and Seniors in order to provide staff and rooms for the Juniors to test. Lunch will be provided to all Juniors on both days, and buses will run as usual. Juniors at the Po-Hi campus and those who are enrolled in our Virtual program will test on the Po-Hi main campus. Wildcat Academy Juniors and Share Juniors will test at the Wildcat Academy campus. We will also test any Seniors who missed testing during their Junior year.
More details about the testing procedure will be given to Juniors prior to testing via their student Gmail, announcements in their classes, and flyers around the school. Juniors should be checking their student Gmail on a regular basis to avoid missing testing information.
Po-Hi is asking parents to emphasize the importance of these tests to their students and to help make sure their Juniors are on time to their test session and bring their school-issued Chromebook and charger with them.
