A reminder of guidelines for ALL of our athletic events:
ALL students 9th-12th must show their student ID to purchase tickets to athletic events. Pre-K to 8th grade MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Students being disruptive, not following the guidelines or violating basic safety rules, will be escorted to their parents and may be removed from the event.
Students, please have your ID ready when purchasing tickets.
PCPS officials are monitoring current weather models from the National Weather Service. We want to remind you to stay weather aware for any changes that may impact outdoor activities and extracurricular events.
Senior Night begins at 6 p.m. TONIGHT at Sullins Stadium. The varsity football game against Bartlesville begins at 7.
Trunk or Treat will be held at the Po-Hi Teacher Parking Lot on Sunday, Oct. 27 beginning at 1 p.m.
TOMORROW: Friday, Oct. 18 will be Emergency Vehicle Day at Roosevelt Elementary. This is being coordinated with area Airvac and emergency responders. They will be flying the helicopter between 1 to 1:30 p.m. that day. Students will be outside to watch the helicopter land and explore the ambulance, fire truck and helicopter.
We are excited that so many parents are asking to come! Any parents wishing to view the event, please check in through the main office and get a visitors badge.
PoHi BPA (Business Professionals of America) is selling school spirit button pins! Premade Wildcat Spirit pins are $1 each and can be purchased at the high school in room 331 or 333. Custom button pins are also available. To purchase a $3 custom pin, please scan the QR code and fill out the google form. Payments for these can be taken to room 331 or 333. We will also have a table set up in the commons area during all lunch periods on October 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th, where pins can be purchased. Thank you for your support! School will NOT be in session on Friday, Oct. 11 for Parent/Teacher Conferences and on Monday, Oct. 14 for Fall Break. Classes will resume again on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Ponca City will host 6A regionals this week. Come out to the PCPS softball field behind West Middle School and show your support for the softball team. Ponca City will play Putnam City on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at noon. Admission is $8.35 online at ossaa.com or $10 at the gate.
The Homecoming parade will be on Thursday, October 3 at 6 p.m. The parade will go east on Grand, north on 5th street and continue to the front of the high school. There will be a short pep rally on the front lawn immediately after the parade.
The Homecoming Court will be announced and recognized.
Extra police officers were dispatched to Ponca City High School earlier today to help the School Resource Officer. A student was trying to fight at lunch and would not comply with administrators or the SRO to stop. Additional officers were dispatched to the scene to help handle the situation. All students and staff are safe.
An incident was reported on Thursday afternoon at the West Middle School office that a student had allegedly brought a gun to school. The student was apprehended by the School Resource Officer and the gun in question was a toy gun. The safety of our students will always be a top priority.
Monday is a Professional Development Day so school will NOT be in session.

There is no school on Monday for Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Aug. 3.
Ponca City High School went into a brief lockdown this morning after alleged threats were made against the school. Police and school officials have located the suspects in question. We will keep you informed of any changes.
The city had an 18" water main break causing East, Garfield and Po-Hi to be without water. Currently, the city has isolated the valve and building pressure now. We will keep you informed of any changes.
